Let's make your own flag. We will start by changing the colors of the background

Let's make your own flag. We will start by changing the colors of the background
- Go to panel1.setBackground(Color.blue) and change blue to any of these colors:
red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, orange, pink, black, white, gray, lightGray, or darkGray. - Now change the colors on panel2 and panel3.
- Click Build
- Click Run
- Go to the FILE tab and click on myflag.jpg
Now let's change the shape of the flag:
- Locate pane.setLayout(new GridLayout(1, 3)); and change the 1 to 2 and the 3 to 2
- Locate JPanel panel3 = new JPanel();
- Press enter to go to the line right below it
- Type the code JPanel panel4 = new JPanel();
- Locate panel3.setBackground(Color.blue)
- Press enter to go to the line right below it
- Type panel4.setBackground(Color.blue);
- Change the Color.blue of this new panel to another primary color.
- Type pane.add(panel4); below pane.add(panel3);
- The "String outfile" names the name your flag will have when you have finished it.
- Click Build and Run to create your new myflag.jpg
- Click on the "Files" tab and click on the "myflag.jpg" to view your flag after build and running it.

- Pick a COUNTRY FLAG and try to make it or invent one of your own.

- Use the Snip tool in your accessories folder in Windows to take a screen shot or Command-Control-Shift-4 on MAC
